We have an exciting opportunity for Wiring Assembly Operative to work for our prestigious client based in Hoddesdon. As a Wiring Assembly Operative, you will be joining a small yet busy, experienced, passionate, and sociable team, working towards the same daily objectives, sharing workloads, quality of work is our top priority for every customer. The production is varied, with a variety of bespoke projects, that will require the candidate to be involved in several operations.

The role is a full-time temporary to permanent position working from 7am - 4.30pm (Monday - Friday) offering an hourly rate of £11.44 per hour, plus holiday pay.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for mechanical and electrical assembly of fittings.
  • Accurately picking components relative to the assembly.
  • Use tools and machinery in a safe and effective manner. Training provided.
  • Setting up any equipment or accessories needed during production
  • Perform QC checks and report any issues promptly.
  • Follow Health and Safety procedures.
  • Always keep your workstation and workshop safe and tidy.
  • May occasionally be required to work off-site to rework customers fittings.
  • Any other duties assigned relative to the role. Person will be made aware in advance of any changes to the job description.
  • Working to KPI’s for meeting scheduled production deadlines and assembly accuracy

Skills/Experience

  • Must be experienced in general assembly production of electrical equipment.
  • Comfortable in environment and experience in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and follow assembly instructions.
  • Can work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work efficiently alone and as part of a team to meet company objectives.
  • Be self-motivated and enjoy working systematically and productively.
  • Good organisational skills and able to manage your daily tasks effectively.
  • Basic Microsoft office skills
