Previous experience of managing/Monitoring stock levels?
A good client of ours based in Hoddesdon requires a Purchasing Assistant.
Purchasing Assistant Responsibilities:
- Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.
- Research potential vendors.
- Obtain pricing for bespoke / nonstock items.
- Raise purchase orders for both stock and non-stock items.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Goods Inwards Process (Physical checking of materials & booking deliveries into the system)
- Physical allocation of product in the warehouse to suit specific customer orders / production batches.
- Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm / change orders / chase delivery of orders.
- Liaise with warehouse staff to make them aware of goods inwards arrival.
- Process warehouse production sheets into the system daily.
- Goods Issuing of orders through the system daily for invoicing purposes.
Required skills:
- Very good attention to detail
- Knowledge on Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic IT skills
Desired skills:
- Knowledge of SAP
- Experience within a similar role however, training will be provided.
