Music Teacher - Education and Training - Hoddesdon

Are you passionate about music and want to inspire students through the power of music? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Hoddesdon. As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to students at the secondary level, helping them develop their musical skills and fostering a love for the subject.

Position: Music Teacher

Location: Hoddesdon

Salary: £120- £240 per Day

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

As a Music Teacher, your responsibilities will include –

  • Planning and delivering exciting and engaging music lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Teaching a range of music styles, including performance, theory, and composition.
  • Encouraging student participation in music activities, ensembles, and school performances.
  • Preparing students for music exams, assessments, and performances.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that inspires creativity.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Working collaboratively with the school’s music department to plan events and performances.

As a Music Teacher, essential requirements include the following:

  • A QTS/QLTS/PGCE on relevant subjects.
  • Prior experience teaching music to secondary students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Creativity and adaptability to design and implement effective teaching strategies.

To work with GSL Education as an experienced Music Teacher, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
