Senior Planner

Location: Hoddesdon

Salary: Up to £85,000 per annum plus additional benefits.

My Client are currently looking for a Senior Planner to join their team to work on multiple projects in the South East area. 

Senior Planner key responsibilities: 

  • Manage and maintain an overview of all Planning/Programme activities for multiple projects, ensuring effective scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Support the Project Manager in all Planning/Programme-related tasks, developing and refining project methodologies to ensure successful project execution.
  • Promote and implement ‘best value’ design solutions to add value to projects and ensure cost-effective, efficient outcomes.
  • Utilize planning software (P6 Primavera and ASTA Powerproject) to manage project timelines, track progress, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
  • Identify risks and implement schedule adjustments as necessary to maintain project delivery within agreed timelines, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Senior Planner competencies:

  • Project Planning & Scheduling Expertise
    Proficient in creating, managing, and monitoring project schedules using planning tools such as P6 Primavera and ASTA Powerproject.
  • Risk Management
    Skilled in identifying potential risks and challenges within project timelines and developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Analytical Thinking
    Strong ability to analyze project data, timelines, and resources to optimize planning and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    Excellent teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide clear project updates to stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail
    Meticulous in managing project details, ensuring all aspects of the planning and scheduling process are accurate, and aligned with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
