Our client school in Hoddesdon, East Hertfordshire, is currently seeking two enthusiastic Maths teachers-one for the Summer Term and another for a September start. Both roles are full-time, with options for either temporary or permanent contracts.

As a Maths teacher in this setting, you will be working with students at risk of permanent exclusion, providing them with the support and strategies needed to help them succeed academically and socially.

We are looking for passionate individuals who can deliver engaging Maths lessons up to GCSE level. The successful candidates will be committed to fostering a love for the subject, maintaining high academic standards, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

• Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across a broad range of abilities and age groups.

• Set high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of schemes of work that align with the school's educational strategies.

• Track student progress, identifying those needing extra support or challenge, ensuring they remain engaged and make strong academic progress.

• Implement assessment strategies to track student performance effectively.

• Use data to identify underachieving students and implement intervention plans where necessary.

• Support students in setting and achieving ambitious academic goals.

• Build strong relationships with parents to encourage involvement in their child's learning journey.

• Provide regular updates on student progress, including targets and areas for improvement.

• Communicate effectively through both written and verbal means.

• Manage workload efficiently while committing to ongoing professional growth.

• Share best practices to enhance teaching outcomes across the department.

• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a supportive and effective teaching environment.

• Support the school's behaviour policies and contribute to maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.

• Participate in extracurricular Maths activities and school-wide initiatives.

• Engage in department planning and contribute to its continued development.
