In the heart of Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire an ‘good’ SEND School are on the hunt for a Maths Teacher to teach KS4 only on a part time basis for 3 days a week for an April 2025 start. This is a permanent, and part time contract. (Employed directly by the school)

The Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious Maths Teacher who is keen to add value to an expanding department. The school is renowned for their supportive SLT.

Although supporting these young people can be challenging, the rewards are immense as you see them develop and succeed in reaching their full potential, gaining educational outcomes and returning to mainstream wherever possible. The work can be demanding at times but there is a high staff to pupil ratio - classes are small and always with TA support.

The school offer a supportive management team and the opportunity to effect real change and witness rapid progress is significant. The school are well invested into the Education sector setting new teaching practices, as well as training their own and new staff. It’s an exciting time at the school!

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Must have QTS or QTLS
• Strong academics across the board – Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
• Must be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a ‘Good or Outstanding’ level
• You must be able to work as part of a large team of Teachers
• Must be willing to listen to feedback
