We are proud to be working with this outstanding Ofsted approved residential childcare provider who currently have an exciting opportunity for a number of Residential Childrens Workers and Senior Support Workersto join their growing team in the Hoddesdonarea.

We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals who will be responsible for providing the highest possible quality of care to assist the resident children in reaching their fullest potential.

Location: Hoddesdon

Contract: Full time, permanent

Salary: £26,000-£33,000 (inclusive of 3 sleeps per month)

Key responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the basic care of children assisting and ensuring good personal care, health care, education and recreational activities

  • Proactively support the young persons care plan

  • Utilise company's pool carsin order to transport/support young people to and from school, health appointments etc. Please note that all pool cars are manual

  • Ensure a regular log and record of events is maintained including night observation/medication checklist

  • Prepare and write reports in accordance with the childs needs and organisational requirements

  • Ensure professional standards in line with individual and team performance plans

Requirements:

  • Genuine commitment to welfare of resident children

  • Previous experience of working with children and young people is desirable

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent is a must for Senior roles

  • Flexibility to work long shifts and sleep ins

  • Full UK driving license

  • Right to Work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
