Rosenbauer UK Limited, part of the Rosenbauer Group, supplies and maintains front line fire vehicles and fire-fighting equipment throughout the UK.


The role:

We require a Field Service Engineer to help carry out service operations by inspecting and maintaining vehicles. The role will involve repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, replacing parts and components and repairing body damage. The successful candidate must ensure that all work is carried out in line with customer requirements, legislation, company policies, procedures and standards with a key focus on high quality and health and safety.


This role will be a mixture of working at our head office in Holmfirth and service work located the length and breadth of the UK, with the potential to work in Europe on occasions. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to travel to our production plants in Germany & Austria to advance their skillset and knowledge further.


Required skills:

Experience working on vehicle systems such as mechanical and electrical are required. Qualifications such as City&Guilds or NVQ 2 or3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, or similar, are beneficial. Flexibility, confidence, enthusiasm, and the use of initiative are essential skills for the role.


Examining and testing vehicles

Ability to read electrical diagrams

Completing preventative maintenance such as oil changes, replacing filters and working to service schedules

High quality work and attention to detail is imperative

Customer-facing confident communicator

Strong IT skills beneficial

Happy to travel and stay away

Able to use own initiative and problem solving


The package:

Permanent / Full-time Role

Salary - £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience (plus overtime door to door)

39.5 hours per week

25 days holiday allowance per annum plus stats (increasing with service)

Company shut down over Christmas period

Company Pension scheme

A company van will be provided for business purposes.
