Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in water jet cutting technology? We are recruiting for a leading manufacturing business in Redditch, offering a fantastic opportunity to develop and optimise water jet processes within a dynamic production environment.

The Role
As a Water Jet Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, working with forged aluminium, steel, and titanium parts. Your focus will be on process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimise and develop water jet cutting processes for high-quality, efficient production.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to implement productionised programs and fixtures.
  • Transfer parts and programs from CNC routers to water jet cutting equipment.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate new materials, tools, and techniques.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process issues.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
What We Are Looking For
  • Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Three or more years' experience in water jet cutting or similar manufacturing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of water jet cutting technology, CADCAM software, and engineering design tools.
  • Background in lean manufacturing, process improvement, and AS9100 standards.
  • Problem-solving mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
