Keeler Recruitment is working with a reputable and growing company in Norfolk to find a talented Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their accounting career with a supportive and forward-thinking business.
The Role:
As the Assistant Accountant, you'll provide crucial support to the finance team, handling a variety of tasks such as:
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Processing invoices, payments, and expense claims
- Maintaining accurate financial records and performing reconciliations
- Supporting VAT returns and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
- Helping prepare end-of-year accounts and audits
- Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders on financial matters
Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in a similar role (Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant, or similar)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Proficient in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills with a high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and within a team
Studying towards AAT, ACCA, or CIMA (preferred but not essential)
