We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Goods In and Stores Manager to oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods and materials. The ideal candidate will manage the daily checking and receipting of goods, oversee inventory organisation, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely movement of materials within the warehouse or stores area. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team efficiently.
Location: Alton, GU34 2UD Hours: 7:30am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday Primary Roles and Responsibilities:- Unload delivery vehicles, pallets, and parcels.
- Oversee the receiving of incoming goods, ensuring accuracy by checking against delivery notes, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Inspect the quality and condition of goods and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate parties.
- Supervise and manage the warehouse team, providing training, guidance, and support.
- Prepare regular reports on stock levels, stock movements, and any issues with goods in or stores operations.
- Orchestrate and oversee the process for weekly stock checks to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Actively participate in stock checks and troubleshoot any discrepancies.
- Distribute goods to all company departments/depots, by hand or by shunt vehicles.
- Store stock in the correct location.
- Update/create stock locations for each product.
- Send requisitions to procurement for items with low stock.
- Pick and pack parts for customers (PODs).
- Pick parts for engineer's vans.
- Assist with picking and packing components for kitting to be sent to fabricators.
- Conduct weekly stock checks on stationery, paper towels, hot drink consumables, etc. Submit requisitions as required.
- Assist with monthly paint stock checks.
- Ensure the stores area is clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Perform any other tasks as and when required.
