Main Purpose of the Role
The Buyer role is a vital part of our procurement and buying team, responsible for maintaining stock levels and managing a critical supplier base. This position requires effective communication and collaboration with multiple departments across the company.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Implement and optimise inventory management systems to maintain stock levels and reduce lead times for key products.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favourable agreements. Check and maintain stock reports and place orders based on requirements.
- Research and analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships and improved service levels.
- Support new product development by sourcing materials and components in line with project requirements.
- Raise purchase orders (POs) and manage the procurement process from request to delivery.
- Source materials, goods, and services in accordance with specifications and standards.
- Address and resolve issues related to delayed shipments, faulty goods, or supplier disputes.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
- Book collection and delivery requirements with the transport team.
