Role Overview

The role of Hire Desk Manager is to effectively manage the distribution and maintenance of the hire fleet, ensuring all customer expectations are met. You will work closely with the Sales Support Team to achieve timely and complete despatch of all orders.

Main Purpose of the Role

The Hire Desk Manager is responsible for effectively managing, distributing and maintaining the hire fleet, to ensure customer expectations are met. Working closely with the Sales Support Team, you will ensure timely and complete despatch of all orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer support and service in all interactions.
  • Efficiently manage and resolve all hire desk queries.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all orders, promptly notifying customers and the Transport team of any changes or issues that may arise.
  • Manage the following tasks:
    • Scheduling large deliveries
    • Off-hires
    • Responding to, recording, and managing customer hire queries.
    • Managing and tracking all FOC hires.
    • Overseeing all 6-monthly hire certifications or exchanges as required.
    • Managing all off-hire bookings back into stock.
    • Liaising with operational departments for lead times and stock inquiries.
    • Handling queries from the warehouse, yard, and transport teams.
    • Liaising with Transport for all site bookings.
    • Consistently seek opportunities to impress and exceed customer expectations through:
    • Genuine care for the customer.
    • Going above and beyond to provide exceptional service and instilling this mindset in the hire team.
    • Attention to detail.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Ensure seamless processing of orders and workflow.
  • Improve customer satisfaction through the company NPS score.
  • Ensure delivery in full and on time by providing all necessary information and paperwork to operational departments promptly.
  • Provide solutions for the team and customers.
  • Maintain a positive image of the Conquip brand with customers.
