Production MIG Welder

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a forward-thinking and innovative organisation within the scopes of manufacturing, construction and engineering. This is a vital role for the group, and sits within the heart of our production operations based in Alton, Hampshire. MIG welding experience is essential to be successful within this area and we are keen to speak to candidates who are looking to further grow their skill-set within this setting. 

 

**This key role is situated within our late shift, which runs from 1.45pm - 10.15pm**

 

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Primarily working with Mild Steel parts that will be required to weld
  • As a welder, you will be required to weld a variety of sheet, hollow section, and pipe products primarily for process engineering and utility clients
  • Expected to have worked with a variety of metal variations
  • Working from engineering drawings 
  • Required to work within a fast paced environment, whilst maintaining a high standard of output
  • To work in a safe environment & manner,  and ensure all Health and Safety legislations are adhered too
  • Required to drive a forklift truck and operate an overhead crane
  • House keeping within the immediate working area

 

Basic Skills Required

  • Teamwork 
  • Good planning and organisational skills 
  • Reliability 
  • MIG Welding experience 
  • Forklift or Overhead crane experience ( we can train this )
