Packing Team Leader – Llantrisant

Salary: £12.24 Per Hour

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Working hours: AM & PM shift rotational.

We are seeking an experienced food manufacturing team leader to join a large well-established company based in Llantrisant.

The Role:

A Packing Team Leader in these areas are responsible for a team of people and the packing lines. They must ensure that the packing process is correct, and the operatives are packing products in line with the plan and in a timely manner. They are also responsible for ensuring metal detections, CCPs and paperwork are completed correctly within their areas.

Main Duties:

  • Setting up and running of the packing lines in the Low-Risk Packing Department.
  • Completion of QA / Technical documentation.
  • Ensure staff are packing products into the outer cases correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Completion of date code verification.
  • Ensure company documentation is completed correctly.
  • Ensure the staff on their lines are fully trained in line with company policy and procedures.
  • Ensure all Company procedures are being adhered to
  • Ensure all documentation is completed – for example, CCPs, H&S, start-up checks.
  • Service driven.
  • Be aware of and drive the customer service demand.
  • Ensure good communication between the high-risk team and the Despatch team.
  • Compliance with the company HACCP and Quality manuals.
  • Compliance with the company Health & Safety Policy and operating procedures.
  • Working in other areas of the factory as requested by a manager and in accordance with the needs of the business.
  • Any other tasks required by your line manager.

  • Good communication both written and verbal.  Organised and able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Some lifting involved, up to a maximum of 15 – 25 kilos
