IMMEDIATE LONG TERM POSITOIONS FOR BULK INTER DEPOT PARCEL COMPANY - NO DOORSTEP/COMMERCIAL DELIVERIES WORKING FROM EUROCENTRAL DEPOT HOLYTOWN
- 15.30/Hour Including Holiday pay WEEKLY PAY EACH FRIDAY
- 22/HOUR OVERTIME
- Max 6 POINTS - NO DR/DD/INS
- MINIMUM 6 MONTHS CLASS 2 EXPERIENCE
These are long term ongoing positions NOT Day to Day Hires!!! Temporary to Permanent Full Time Transfer is also on offer
Duties
- Operate Class 2 Box Van/ lorries to transport goods to various locations all Runs are Inter Depot or to HUBS
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Self Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of all items for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policy.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Commercial Driver, with a valid HGV licence.
- Experience in flatbed driving is highly desirable.
- Previous roles as a Delivery Driver will be considered an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
