Assistant Accountant

Up to £35,000 + Excellent Prospects
We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity as an Assistant Accountant to join a growing business based in Watford, Hertfordshire. This role offers a competitive salary of £35,000 and a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records for a variety of clients, contributing to the efficient running of the finance department. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations and inter-company accounts
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Perform credit control duties, including chasing overdue payments and monitoring customer credit limits
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Provide support with management accounts, including overhead analysis, accruals, and journal adjustments
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Handle tax-related tasks including VAT, corporation tax, and subsidiary tax returns for international locations
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Assist with business cash flow forecasts and revenue/cost projections
REQUIRED SKILLS
The Assistant Accountant will have the majority of the following experience:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Experience in accounts administration or a similar finance role
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Experience in working with CIS, foreign currencies and multiple companies is desirable but not essential
SALARY:
Basic salary up to £35,000
