Senior Accounts Assistant - Honiton - C: £30,000
Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been engaged by a new client, an established and highly respected manufacturing focussed business with a superb reputation for staff retention and development. The business currently seeks to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their team, a permanent, full time role to be based at the company’s HQ in Honiton.
Working as part of a mid-sized finance team and supported by a highly experienced Finance Director and head of Finance, the Senior Accounts Assistant will play a key role in the efficient day-to-day operations of a busy finance function. A broad role, the successful candidate will also deputise for the Head of Finance during periods of absence, as well as line-supervising one member of the finance team. What you’ll be doing:
- Play a key role in ensuring the efficient operations of the transactional processes of the finance function
- Assist the Head of Finance where system and process developments and improvements are concerned
- Work with the senior finance team on monthly management reporting packs
- Production of weekly and monthly transactional reports
- Preparation of key financial statements - accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations etc.
- Oversee daily bank reconciliations
- Act as a first point of contact for a range of external stakeholders
- Play a key role in the administration of company insurances, subscriptions and contracts
For this role we seek an experienced Finance/Accounts Assistant with recently gained experience gained in either industry or practice. Candidates may be part/fully AAT qualified or able to demonstrate suitable vocational experience. The company is technology focussed with bespoke digital systems - full training will be provided but a good aptitude for picking up new systems will be essential. This is a highly visible role that works as part of a friendly, established team so excellent team working and general communication skills will be essential.
