Team Manager (Exeter and East Devon)

Position: Team Manager (Adults with Learning Disabilities)
Location: Honiton, with services in Exeter and East Devon
Contract: Permanent Position
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Pay: £18.03/hour

Job Purpose:
Lead a team to deliver person-centered support and foster independence for individuals. We are looking for an experienced leader to mentor, develop, and inspire support staff, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and promote person-centered approaches.
  • Commit to safeguarding adults and report concerns per policy.
  • Conduct staff supervisions and facilitate team meetings.
  • Ensure comprehensive staff inductions and current support plans.
  • Manage training, performance issues, and staff budgets.
  • Build community links and stakeholder relationships.
  • Conduct quality and safety checks.
  • Support individuals in finding and maintaining employment.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities/mental health needs.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Social Care Management (or equivalent).
  • Proven team supervision and motivation experience.
  • Strong communication and IT skills.
  • Flexibility in work hours and travel availability.
  • Ability to undertake on-call duties.

Requirements:
