Description: 

We are looking for a talented and dedicated Chef to join a family-owned company. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, passion, and expertise to the kitchen. You must be a comfortable baker, and able to develop your own menus. This role offers fantastic hours for this type of role, along with a heap of benefits and progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute diverse menus for events such as weddings, corporate gatherings, and private parties.
  • Source and select high-quality ingredients, maintaining relationships with local suppliers.
  • Prepare and present dishes to the highest standards of taste and appearance.
  • Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing training and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, complying with health and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with clients to customise menus based on their preferences and dietary needs.
  • Monitor food costs and manage inventory to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a catering or event setting.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
