JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Commercial Credit Advisorwho has strong customer service, administrative and communication skills with experience working within a Credit Services Department.
Working as the Commercial Credit Advisor you will support the Credit Manager and Regional Directors, ensuring that credit accounts are managed appropriately and that any customer queries are managed in line with company policy and in a timely manner.
As the Commercial Credit Advisor you will assess and balance risk, in order to grow the portfolio.
The role will involve communicating with internal and external customers both on the phone and in writing. This will include discussions around collection and negotiation of payments, undertaking credit limit reviews and assisting with any queries that customers may have.
As a successful candidate you must be able to communicate confidently and be passionate about helping customers and the business. Strong customer service skills, together with current experience of working within a credit services department are therefore essential. You will be highly organised, able to prioritise, and possess excellent administration skills, given there is a high volume of accounts to manage. Full training on the computer system will be provided.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Commercial Credit Advisor include:
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Provide professional well considered support throughout the customer lifecycle
- First point of contact for customers’ account queries, across all communication channels for Credit Services
- Ensure support is provided to the branches and colleagues in resolving outstanding customer account issues
- Ensure new and existing customer credit limits are reviewed periodically and authorised in line with the company credit policy
- Anticipate developments and identify accounts that may require special attention, passing on to the Assistant Credit Manager where necessary
- Ensure the company on stop facility is administered expediently
- Undertake each month, a 90-day review, reporting to the Assistant Credit Manager
- Carry out account reviews passing recommendations to the Assistant Credit Manager
- Assist with payment plan accounts, ensuring agreements are being honoured, escalating where necessary
- Undertake complex reconciliations and allocations
- Ensure the prompt collection of any monies due
- Process low value write offs and refund requests as per predetermined criteria and processes
- Ensure the customer master file is kept up to date and accurate at all times for audit purposes
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Experience of working within credit services, with B2B customer experience
- Credit Risk experience
- Able to interpret data to effectively, convey insights and inform business decisions to customers, both internal, and external
- Able to work through decisions/issues to conclusions, whilst maintaining positive customer relationships
- Results focused, able to work unsupervised
- Able to lead face to face meetings with larger clients
- Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills
- Great communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Commercially astute
- Able to travel across the branch network, visiting internal and external customers efficiently
- CICM training may be available
