General Operative - Tent Manufacturing?? Location: Honiton, EX14?? Pay:£25,500 - £29,900 pa (£11.55 - £13.55 per hour (based on experience)) + yearly bonus?? Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:45-17:00, Friday 7:45 - 15:15 (42.5 hrs/week)? Overtime: Available at basic rate�? Christmas Shutdown: 1-2 weeks over the festive period
About the Role:
We are looking for a hands-on General Operative to join our team in manufacturing high-quality tents. You’ll be responsible for cutting, marking, and welding materials while following technical drawings, templates, and work instructions. Other tasks include construction, picking, and packing of products.
?? No prior experience? No problem! Full on-the-job training is provided to help you develop essential skills.
What We’re Looking For:
?? Good DIY skills & practical abilities?? Previous industrial machine experience (preferred but not essential)?? Strong attention to detail?? Good timekeeping & attendance?? Ability to work independently & meet deadlines?? Understanding of imperial & metric measurements?? Comfortable handling heavy PVC & fabrics?? Hands-on manufacturing skills
