Silver and Bow are seeking a dedicated and professional Gardening and Housekeeper Cook Couple to manage the daily upkeep of a beautiful private estate in the stunning Devon countryside. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking couple with experience in gardening, housekeeping, and home cooking, who take pride in maintaining a well-run and welcoming home.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Gardening & Grounds Maintenance:
Maintain and care for the gardens and grounds, including seasonal planting, mowing, pruning, weeding, and general landscaping.
Ensure all horticultural practices are carried out to a high standard, with a strong knowledge of plant care, soil management, and pest control.
Oversee the upkeep of outdoor areas, such as patios, pathways, and garden furniture.
Manage and maintain gardening tools, machinery, and irrigation systems.
Ensure the estate’s exterior remains tidy and well-presented throughout the year.
Housekeeping & Cooking:
Maintain the interior of the home to a high standard, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management.
Prepare home-cooked meals using fresh, seasonal ingredients, catering to the family’s preferences.
Assist with food shopping, meal planning, and occasional hosting of guests.
Ensure household supplies are well stocked and manage general household organisation.
Requirements:
Proven experience working in a private household or similar setting, with expertise in both gardening and housekeeping.
A strong knowledge of garden maintenance, plant care, and general outdoor upkeep, with a solid horticultural background.
Excellent cooking skills, with the ability to prepare fresh and nutritious meals.
High attention to detail and a proactive, self-sufficient attitude.
Full UK driving licenses are essential.
Experience managing household supplies and liaising with external suppliers is desirable.
Additional Information:
Accommodation available: A private 2-bedroom cottage if desired.
Working schedule: Thursday to Monday.
