Silver and Bow are seeking a professional and proactive Estate Management Couple to oversee the daily operations of a privately owned, country estate in the stunning Devon countryside. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated couple with a strong background in estate management, antiques, fine art and excellent organisational skills!

Duties & Responsibilities:

Estate & Property Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of property maintenance, including general repairs, seasonal upkeep, and ensuring systems (plumbing, heating, electrical) are in optimal working order.
  • Manage contractors and external suppliers, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance schedules, expenses, and work progress.
  • Supervise, manage, and coordinate staff rotas, work streams, and schedules.
  • Liaising with the family office.
  • Ensure smooth communication with other team members, overseeing the coordination of tasks and ensuring high performance across all areas.
  • Maintain records of expenses and manage budgets for the estate’s upkeep.

Housekeeping:

  • Maintain the interior of the property to a high standard, including cleaning, laundry, and wardrobe management.
  • Assist with light cooking and ensure the family’s personal needs are catered to

Grounds Care:

  • Working with the gardening team to manage the gardens and grounds, including overseeing seasonal planting, mowing, pruning, and landscaping.
  • Oversee outdoor areas and recreational facilities, maintaining them to an exceptional standard.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing a private estate or similar high-end property, with expertise in maintaining both the house and grounds.
  • An understanding of antiques, fine art, and proper care for valuable items.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent housekeeping skills and attention to detail, alongside a proactive and resourceful attitude.
  • Full UK driving licenses are essential.
  • Previous experience in staff management and overseeing contractors is highly desirable.

  • Working schedule: Thursday to Monday.
