The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drama and theatre arts, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring young minds.Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging drama lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop and implement a creative and inclusive curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
- Organise and direct school productions, performances, and extracurricular drama activities.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in drama education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Drama, Theatre Arts, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching drama at the secondary school level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
