An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and technically skilled individual to join our team in the role of IT Technician, supporting various locations across Kent, including our remote farms and operations. The purpose of this role is to support and maintain the company’s IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring that they run smoothly and efficiently.
The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption, and delivering exceptional technical support. The post holder will also play a vital role in the ongoing development and optimization of our IT systems.
Responsibilities may include:
•Provide day-to-day support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
•Perform regular checks and maintenance to ensure all IT systems are operational and up-to-date.
•Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly to minimise system downtime and disruptions.
•Assist employees with technical issues, providing clear guidance and assistance on system use.
•Assist in the installation and configuration of new hardware and software as required.
•Help implement upgrades and updates to systems, ensuring that all hardware and software remain current and secure.
•Work closely with the IT team to implement solutions and resolve technical problems.
•Maintain accurate records of IT support requests, actions taken, and outcomes.
•Supporting the deployment of new IT systems and upgrades.
•Working collaboratively to ensure compliance with relevant IT standards and regulations
Our perfect IT Technician would have:
•Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and security practices.
•Full UK driving licence.
•Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
•Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems efficiently.
•A proactive and organised approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
•The ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
•A keen interest in staying updated on the latest technologies and trends.
•The ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
•Good communication skills to explain technical information to non-technical staff.
•The ability to operate and thrive within a fast paced environment whilst working well under pressure; prioritises effectively to meet deadlines.
The hours you would work:
Monday to Friday, 8.00am-5.00pm (40 hours per week with 1 hour break).
