Client Accountant - About The Role

Suitable for a qualified accountant with extensive Practice experience but also open to QBE professionals. Taking responsibility of your own portfolio of clients, primarily SMEs from a diverse range of industries. You will form long lasting relationships with your clients, and this role goes above and beyond a typical accounting position, rather you are expected to provide a holistic approach to your clients. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage your own portfolio of clients
  • Completing Year-end accounts and reporting your findings and any recommendations to your clients
  • Preparing personal and corporate tax returns
  • Offering expert advice and guidance to your clients
  • Assist with other areas as required such as VAT or CIS
  • Help your colleagues and be part of a wider team where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged

The successful Client Accountant will have/be:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or QBE
  • 5 years’ experience within a UK Accountancy Practice
  • Experience of accounts preparation under UK GAAP and FRS 102
  • Strong team player but equally comfortable working independently
  • Motivated to succeed and be a key member of the firm
  • Experience with areas such a Personal Tax, Corporation Tax and CIS is preferred but not essential
