Certain Advantage is hiring for an Electronics Hardware Lead, for a technically advanced manufacturer, based in North East Hampshire.

This role is on a permanent basis and is predominantly based at the company's manufacturing facility.

Are you an Electronic Hardware Engineer, looking to join a renowned leader in the development of cutting-edge subsea instrumentation?

You will be in a key role, responsible for designing, developing and delivery high quality electronic hardware, as well as providing technical mentorship of other engineers.



The Company

We're working with an innovative company, which develops and manufactures sensor technology and monitoring solutions, for surveying the ocean and other aquatic systems. They have been established for over 50 years, supplying into Environmental, Maritime & Marine and Defence Markets.

Established for over 60 years, the business is globally renowned for environmental / ocean technology solutions. After recently moving to start of the art facilities, the business is looking to continue it's sustained growth.



The Role:

This role would suit someone with a strong background in Electronics Engineering, with a desire to take a technical lead, and develop the electronics team

You'll be a key member of the Engineering team, operating at the intersection of design / development and manufacturing.

Day to day you will:

  • Design, develop, test and deliver high quality electronics hardware, on a range of subsea instruments from underwater acoustic modems to data loggers and much more
  • Lead planning, architecture, development and validation of new hardware designs
  • Lead and mentor an engineering team, including experts in analogue, digital and PCB design, as well as junior engineers
  • Maintain existing products, whilst working closely with the NPI team to ensure successful transition between development and production phases

The Individual

We're looking for people who can show:

  • Extensive experience in Electronics Hardware engineering, with a background in manufacturing
  • Expert in Analogue Electronics
  • Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline such as Electronics Engineering
  • Experience at a Senior or Team lead level
