Our client is seeking someone who can go above and beyond to help bereaved pet owners, who need to use the services of this organisation, at what is an incredibly sad time for them. If you are compassionate, have great communication skills and want to help others, this role could be for you.

The Pre-cremation support role is pivotal across the business in providing a five star service by ensuring pre-cremation wishes are taken as per the request from clients. Duties will include taking nose and paw prints, paw moulds and fur clippings; The successful candidate will also be responsible for checking belongings are logged correctly on the CRM system and supporting the business with Health & Safety checks.

This role is full time and includes working every Saturday with a set day off during the week. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to the location.

Starting salary of £24,538 increasing after probation.

Main duties:

  • Handling & assisting with the lifting of deceased pets using all standard health & safety procedures
  • Prioritising pre-crems as per CRM report: taking fur clippings, paw/nose prints & paw print moulds whilst upholding company standards at all times
  • Placing deceased pets in the cool room and ensure grid reference on CRM is accurate
  • Daily visual check of pets that have a "Coming to Say Goodbye" appointment to make sure the pet is viewable aligned with our values
  • Cleaning & stock control of pre-cremation area upheld
  • Assist with stock deliveries
  • Pre-cremation area checklist completed daily
  • Belongings checks in cool room completed
  • Support with completing/recording weekly Health & Safety checks
  • Support the cremations team with cremulating
