The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Production Engineer to join a well-established company based in Finchampstead.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with production managers to ensure optimum productivity and the timely completion of orders, addressing any production issues to meet customer requirements.
  • Assist in expediting and prioritising work orders as needed.
  • Build routings and create Bill of Materials (BOMs) to provide accurate costings and timelines, enhancing costing accuracy.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required.

Skills & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a flexible attitude to work, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Previous hands-on experience in a shopfloor or engineering environment would be advantageous.
  • Proactive, with a “can do” attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Self-motivated, able to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
  • Experience with MRP systems is beneficial.
  • Analytical approach to problem-solving and a flexible attitude to changing demands.
  • A good understanding of engineering principles, particularly mechanical knowledge, would be advantageous.

Training will be provided on products, but a solid engineering background will give you a head start.
