Purpose of the Role

The Engineering Administrator will provide administrative support to the Engineering team, ensuring all technical documentation is up-to-date and shared across the business. The role will require the maintenance of engineering schedules, managing document systems, and tracking progress on engineering projects in line with agreed procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Generate and maintain documentation for all products generated by the Engineering team.

Assist in maintaining the Engineering works schedule, tracking progress, and measuring team performance as part of engineering KPIs.

Log and track Engineering’s involvement in the Change Control process and ensure progress is recorded on the engineering works schedule.

Generate and maintain technical product files as required.

Maintain drawing issues, sign-offs, and liaise with relevant teams to pass on relevant documentation according to agreed processes.

Notify, liaise, and coordinate with planning and procurement teams when technical documentation is released for manufacture and production.

Maintain all Engineering procedural documentation.

Provide general administrative support within the Engineering department as directed by the Product Manager or Director of Engineering.

Ensure equipment, software licenses, and stationery are provided for all team members.

Key Requirements

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel; knowledge of ERP systems would be an advantage.

Organisational Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain high levels of accuracy.

Autonomy: Ability to work with minimal supervision while staying organized.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Relevant Experience

Experience in a technical or engineering environment would be advantageous but not mandatory.
