We're looking for an enthusiastic accounts assistant to join this established local business. You will be able to demonstrate similar experience, have meticulous attention to detail and relish rolling your sleeves up in a small team.

Overview

Our client has been established for 18 years and provides a wide range of security systems to corporate clients. They are a small friendly team and are looking for a positive, self-motivated and self-sufficient accounts assistant to join them.

The Role

Role responsibilities will include:

  • Processing invoices
  • Payment of all suppliers and being first point of contact for all suppliers queries.
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Administration of company pensions for individuals and Death in Service scheme online
  • Work with external payroll provider, and update monthly spreadsheet for payroll
  • Update personnel files
  • Administration of expenses and Fuel Cards
  • Administration for Insurance and relevant journals
  • Annual corporation tax payment
  • Liaison with Accountants for year end production of P11D's
  • Administration of all projects for job costing, including producing reports

The Candidate

  • Must have previous experience in accounts/finance, ideally within a small company.
  • Competent with accountancy software - Xero is ideal, but others considered.
  • Proficient using MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Happy to roll your sleeves up and help out where needed in this small team.

The Terms

  • Salary £30k FTE*
  • c24 hours per week, worked across 4 or 5 days.
  • Location - This is an office based role, in lovely offices in a rural location near Hartley Witney. The successful candidate will require a car and valid driving licence.
  • 28 days holiday, plus bank holidays (3 of these days to be taken between Christmas and New Year)
