- Position Title: TIG Welder
- Location: Derwent, Derbyshire
- Salary: Between £15 / £17 per hour
- Term: Temporary to Permanent - Day shift Mon to Thurs 7am to 4pm & Fri 7am to 2pm
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding work to join metal components. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of metals and welding techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welding Operations: Perform TIG welding operations to join metal parts and fabricate Stainless and Carbon Steel according to blueprints, specifications, and drawings.
- Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding, which includes cleaning, cutting, grinding, and positioning of parts.
- Quality Control: Inspect welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Perform necessary adjustments and rework to achieve desired results.
Skills:
- Proficient in TIG welding techniques and equipment.
- Previous pipe welding experience essential using TIG in the Vertical and Horizontal positions, HL-045/6G desirable on wall thicknesses ranging from 3-7mm.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Familiarity with safety practices and procedures in a welding environment.
