Job Description:
M4 Recruitment, a multi-sector recruitment specialist, is seeking dedicated and reliable Multi-drop 3.5T Van Drivers for one of our clients based in Gatwick. In this role, you will be responsible for making 65 to 75 commercial and home delivery stops per day, ensuring that all deliveries are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Multi-Drop Deliveries:Execute between 65 and 75 deliveries daily to both commercial and residential addresses across the assigned delivery route.
- Timely Deliveries:Ensure all deliveries are made within the scheduled time frames to meet customer expectations and maintain service level agreements.
- Customer Service:Provide exceptional customer service at all delivery points, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Vehicle Maintenance:Conduct daily checks to ensure the van is in good working condition, maintain cleanliness, and promptly report any mechanical issues or damages.
- Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies, ensuring safe and responsible driving at all times. Comply with health and safety guidelines for loading and unloading goods.
- Load Management:Safely load and unload goods, ensuring that packages are handled with care to avoid damage. Organize the van to optimize delivery efficiency and ensure secure transportation of items.
- Documentation:Accurately complete all required paperwork and electronic records for deliveries, including delivery notes and vehicle logs.
Requirements:
- A current valid UK Category B driving license.
- You will need to pay for a government DBS and Cargo Operative training
- A minimum of 1 year experience driving a 3.5T vehicle.
- No more than 6 endorsement points on your driving license.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good physical condition, as the role involves frequent loading and unloading of goods.
