As the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the electrical installations and ensuring that all work complies with the highest safety and quality standards. You will supervise electrical teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure that all electrical works are completed on time and to the highest specifications. This is a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of electrical systems at Gatwick Airport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and supervise electrical installations and maintenance activities across the Gatwick Airport project.
- Coordinate and manage electrical subcontractors and site teams to ensure work is completed according to schedule and specifications.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and quality control checks to ensure high standards of workmanship.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety on site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly and efficiently.
- Assist in the planning and allocation of electrical work tasks to the team.
- Maintain project documentation, including work logs, reports, and compliance certifications.
- Work closely with the project management team to monitor progress and report on key performance indicators.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff and subcontractors.
- Liaise with other trades, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements:
- Valid ECS card
- SSSTS / SMSTS
- Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor, particularly in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects (airport experience is a plus).
- In-depth knowledge of electrical installations, systems, and equipment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple teams and tasks.
- A strong understanding of relevant electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Experience working in high-profile environments such as airports or other critical infrastructure projects.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and provide practical solutions.
- Health and Safety awareness with a focus on risk management.
- Valid ECS/CSCS Card (or equivalent) and any other relevant electrical qualifications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using project management software or electrical scheduling tools is desirable.
