Job Description
The Pick and Despatch Team Leader oversees warehouse picking and despatch operations to ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment. This role involves managing a team, driving efficiency, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The Team Leader plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and achieving departmental KPIs aligned with company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of pickers and despatch staff to ensure high performance and engagement.
- Conduct regular 1-to-1 meetings, provide feedback, and support staff development through PDPs.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
- Oversee picking and despatch processes to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely order fulfilment.
- Conduct quality checks to maintain high accuracy and service standards.
- Monitor and report on KPIs, including order accuracy, productivity, and on-time despatch.
- Address performance issues and implement corrective actions to meet targets.
- Develop and deliver training to upskill staff in operational processes and product knowledge.
- Enforce health and safety policies, conduct safety audits, and address risks promptly.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Ensure accurate stock handling and collaborate with inventory teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Manage timely despatch of all orders to meet customer satisfaction goals.
- Build strong relationships with other departments to streamline operations.
- Act as the primary contact for the pick and despatch team and other stakeholders.
- Manage operational costs within budget, optimising resources to support efficiency.

Hours of Work
Monday to Friday, 12:00 - 21:30 (TBC - subject to change).
