We are seeking a Senior Project Manager for our client based near Gatwick, to lead, coordinate, and ensure the successful execution and delivery of projects. If you have experience managing large, cross-functional projects and a proven track record in delivering complex programmes on time and within budget, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager:

  • Lead cross-functional projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic goals.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, providing direction, motivation, and support to drive successful outcomes.
  • Implement and develop project management methodologies (Waterfall) to suit project needs and foster stakeholder engagement.
  • Monitor and critically assess project progress, reporting to senior management and escalating issues as needed.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 2 Project Managers, providing guidance and performance feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external vendors, ensuring compliance with the organisation's vendor management processes and performance metrics.
  • Actively engage in ongoing learning and development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Experience required of the Senior Project Manager:

  • Experience of working of Technical Projects (ideally Software) and Business Change.
  • Proven experience in managing or mentoring junior project team members, with the ability to deliver high performance in a fast-paced environment.
  • A solid track record in managing large, complex projects from start to finish, with the ability to adapt project management methodologies to fit business needs.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate challenges and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and engaging way.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal teams and external vendors, with an emphasis on teamwork and flexibility.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A proactive, customer-centric approach to working, ensuring that both internal and external stakeholders are well supported.
