We are looking for….

A Senior Finance Business Partner to collaborate and support the Southern Operations Regional management, to provide financial insights, analysis, and support for decision-making, strategic planning, and performance improvement. This includes financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.

How you’ll support us on our mission to keep people safe and warm…

  • Be the first port of call for the regional management for Operations division, for all things related to Finance.
  • Partner with the regional management and their team to drive and influence strategic decision-making (e.g., long-term business planning, project portfolio analysis, internal cost management, balancing risk, etc.)
  • Act as a trusted and accessible point of contact providing commercial and financial decision support, proactively challenging costs by understanding cost drivers and provide insight into functional costs and strategic initiatives, enabling the most cost effective and efficient operation
  • Lead financial analysis, exercising a strong understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving strategic objectives
  • Work with the shared services team to define management reporting requirements to support conversations. Interpret complex information (financial data, relevant financial legislation, financial policies etc.) to determine the impact of financial decisions and effectively translate to business leaders
  • Provide financial leadership during the periodic forecasting and budgeting process ensuring the business can meet its targets in an optimal way, as well as during business meetings and periodic reviews
  • Advise senior managers on actual performance against budgets and forecast
  • Develop and maintain new management information to aid regional Operations
  • Lead the analysis and interpretation of regular timely financial information to enable business leaders to understand business performance, taking action where necessary to improve performance going forward in order to meet financial commitments
  • Use excellent communication skills to support and influence stakeholders across the organisation
  • Build partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with senior managers
  • Mentor more junior members of staff

Should be CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified and it would be preferable to have a degree.
