Administrator for School Taxi Service for Disabled Children

Location: Horley

Our client is a dedicated service provider, offering specialised transportation for disabled children to and from school.  Mission is to ensure every child has safe, reliable, and timely transport, fostering their education and well-being. Seeking an Administrator to join their dynamic team and contribute to high standards of service and compliance.

Job Summary:

The Administrator will play a crucial role in the daily operations of the school taxi service. This position requires a highly organised individual who can manage a busy workload, handle multiple time-critical tasks, and ensure all processes comply with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organisational skills, the ability to prioritise effectively, and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Scheduling and Coordination:

-        Organise and manage daily schedules for taxi drivers and routes.

-        Communicate with schools, parents, and drivers to confirm pick-up and drop-off times.

-        Adjust schedules as needed in response to changes or emergencies.

Compliance Management:

-        Ensure all drivers have up-to-date certifications and background checks.

-        Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, insurance, and inspections.

-        Monitor compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.

Administrative Duties:

-        Answer phone calls and emails promptly and professionally.

-        Maintain organised and up-to-date files and records.

-        Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.

Communication:

-        Serve as a primary point of contact for parents, drivers, and school staff.

-        Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to transportation services.

-        Provide clear and timely communication to all stakeholders.

Time Management:

-        Prioritise tasks to manage a high volume of work effectively.

-        Ensure all time-sensitive processes are completed accurately and on schedule.

-        Implement strategies to improve efficiency and workflow.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

-        Organisational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks, keep detailed records, and maintain an organised workspace.

-        Time Management: Proven ability to handle a busy workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
