About the Hospital:
The hospital is a 28 bed rapid response, male acute inpatient service. The service accepts emergency admissions for people who are in crisis and who cannot be cared for safely in the community. The acute service is a separate purpose-built inpatient unit.
The aim of the service is to provide a stabilizing environment working with individuals in periods of crisis and acute phases of their mental illness in the least restrictive setting.
About the role:
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will take on RC responsibility for 15 patients. The RC will have the support of a non-consultant grade doctor as well as secretarial support.
Duties:
- Ensure that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely
- Medication management
- Quality assurance, complaints and co-production
- Delivery of NICE guidance
- Lead and manage the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards
