H&S Advisor

My Client is currently recruiting for a H&S Advisor to work on a full-time basis. This role will be working within a large RC Frame and Groundworks-based organisation, assisting the H&S Director to ensure our H&S standards are maintained. You will be required to monitor health and safety compliance during site visits, undertake site-based audits and inspections, deliver training where necessary and check safe systems of work. You will be working closely with the site management teams. The role is autonomous with the candidate managing their diary and site visits.

The role will include:

  • Completing H&S inspections and reporting the findings.
  • Work with the project teams to maintain and identify areas of improvement.
  • Liaise and maintain good working relationships with our clients.
  • Complete accident/incident investigation and report the findings.
  • Support and deliver our 'Worker Engagement' behavioural training presentation.
  • Deliver In-house training courses - Abrasive wheel training, CAT and Genny, Face fit testing, D&A testing. (Training can be provided).

Along with the above training, the candidate may be required to complete in-house audits following our internal audit plan, on our ISO 9001 & 14001 accredited management systems. Training can be provided if not currently held

Areas: South East, South\South-East London, Kent, Southern Home Counties.

Accreditation/ Prerequisites Required:

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Construction H&S (minimum) or NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (desired).
  • Excellent communication to varying levels of management.
  • Confident character.
  • Own transport

Desirable Prerequisites:

  • Good understanding and application of H&S legislation in the Construction industry. Experience in the construction industry, in particular groundwork's and RC frame industry a must.
  • Qualified Internal Verifier/Internal audit qualification
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 would be beneficial.
  • Trained Appointed Person

Salary:

Salary is dependent on experience, and qualifications.
