About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children & Young People Nurse Lead to join a highly reputable private hospital based on the outskirts of Crawley. The hospital has been newly refurbished and boasts state of the art facilities, and this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Children & Young People Nurse Lead to join their friendly and experienced team. The team are passionate about person centred care and put their patients at the heart of everything they do and are looking for a Children & Young People Nurse Lead to lead the team. The service offers a range of services and procedures including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Urology, Bariatrics, Paediatrics and offers nurses to develop a variety of skills.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Children & Young People Nurse Lead and will be responsible for the following;
- Assessment of the health and well- being needs within the department
- Ensure that effective care is provided by the team
- Provide excellent clinical and managerial leadership and support
- Undertake Human Resource activities for all members of the team
- Train, develop and support the team
- Develop strategies for policies for service improvement
- Create a culture that actively improves the health and safety and safeguards the welfare of the children
Who we're looking for
All applicants for the role of Registered Children & Young People Nurse Lead must meet the following criteria;
- Registered Children's Nurse - with no restrictions on your NMC pin
- EPALS/ PALS essential
- Child Protection Level 3 essential
- At least 3 years experience working in a similar setting in essential
- Experience working in outpatients and pre-assessment is essential
- Experience working as a practitioner in and across multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience leading a team is essential
