About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Tender & Estimation Engineer to oversee the preparation of tenders and costings for major utility infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of quotations, identifying commercial opportunities, and ensuring all submissions meet client requirements and regulatory standards. The role involves working closely with project stakeholders, utility providers, and clients, with occasional site attendance required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the tendering and estimating process for multi-utility projects.
  • Ensure all bids meet customer requirements, industry legislation, and internal standards.
  • Manage project costings and produce accurate quotations.
  • Create front-end programmes to support tender submissions.
  • Identify and propose commercial improvements and cost efficiencies.
  • Attend site surveys to support project assessments.
  • Facilitate smooth handovers from tender to delivery phase.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.

What We’re Looking For:

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working with Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) across LV to 11kV (essential), 33kV upwards (desirable).
  • Previous estimating experience within multi-utility or electrical, water, gas or EV infrastructure sectors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and CAD (desirable).
  • Degree, HNC or HND in an electrical or related discipline (desirable).
