Reed Education are seeking a talented Teaching Assistant, where you will have the opportunity to support and inspire students aged 7-11 who have difficulties with communication and social interaction, often associated with Autism. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Build warm, caring, and supportive relationships with pupils, helping them feel safe and valued, and enabling them to thrive in their learning environment.
  • Encourage and foster pupilsā€™ independence and personal development.
  • Assist the Class Teacher with the daily activities and management of the class.
  • Adapt to the dynamic needs of the school and take on various tasks to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Participate in creating an engaging educational experience that promotes all aspects of pupilsā€™ development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • GCSE Maths and English qualification, minimum Grade 4 or equivalent.
  • A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Previous experience in a special school environment is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Team TEACH Training would be advantageous.
