The Role
As a teacher of Design Technology - Second in Charge, you will:
- Support the Head of Department in driving innovation, progress, and achievement across the Design Technology curriculum.
- Lead on the development and delivery of Resistant Materials at KS3 and KS4, ensuring engaging, creative, and challenging lessons for all learners.
- Assist with departmental planning, assessment, and resource management, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Inspire, mentor, and support other teachers within the team, contributing to their professional development.
- Play an active role in whole-school initiatives and the wider Design Technology community.

What We're Looking For
- A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong track record of success in teaching Design Technology.
- Expertise and passion for Resistant Materials, with the ability to deliver high-quality, practical, and theoretical lessons.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with experience (or readiness) to take on middle leadership responsibilities.
- A commitment to promoting a love of learning and fostering creativity in all students.
- A collaborative and innovative mindset, with a willingness to embrace new ideas and technologies.
