Your Day-to-Day:

  • Engage and Educate: Deliver and develop a tailored curriculum in a nurturing environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with staff to provide a holistic educational experience.
  • Plan and Execute: Utilise short, medium, and long-term plans to deliver effective lessons.
  • Monitor Progress: Assess and report on student progress to parents, team members, and senior staff.
  • Review and Improve: Contribute to the review of Statements, EHC plans, PEP, and LAC reviews.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with the latest in autism education to plan impactful lessons.
  • Supportive Approach: Ensure individual needs are met in a non-confrontational manner.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification with evidence of in-service training.
  • Experience: Relevant knowledge and experience with pupils with ASD, SEMH, and PDA profiles.
  • Skills: Ability to teach across a range of subjects and manage various approaches to behaviour, including challenging behaviours.
  • Safeguarding: Strong understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
