Experienced SEN Tutor for Autism Support - Horley, Surrey
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Tutor to work with a learner with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Horley, Surrey. The successful candidate will provide tailored support for up to 5 hours per week, helping the learner thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one tutoring for a learner with Autism, adapting teaching methods to suit their individual needs.
- Create and implement lesson plans that support the learner's development, focusing on both academic and social growth.
- Work closely with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure the learner receives the best possible support.
- Maintain a positive, patient, and supportive learning environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience working with learners with Autism.
- Experience in an SEN school setting or a SEN qualification (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant, Autism Awareness certification).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build a rapport with children with special educational needs.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the learner’s specific needs.
- A compassionate, patient, and encouraging approach.
