HR Advisor - Rural Lincolnshire - circa £36,000 plus benefits. Commutable from Lincoln, Louth, Sleaford, Boston, Market Rasen, Skegness areas.

Your new companyThis is a division of a large group of companies UK wide, in the manufacturing sector, who are continually growing organically and by acquisition - and is going through a period of change and improvement programmes.

Your new role

This is a BRAND NEW role in the business, reporting to the Head of HR - with the aim of growing into a HR Business Partner role in time.Working in a small HR team you will be tasked with contributing to the overall success of the HR agenda in delivering a proactive and customer focused HR service by providing effective support, guidance and advice to managers and staff members on a wide variety of HR matters, such as employee relations, policy and process, recruitment etc. You will also be involved with the delivery of key strategic projects.

Your role will be varied involved in all areas from:

  • HR Advisory, ER work (investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, occupational health liaison etc) and absence management
  • Advising and coaching Management in management and HR issues
  • Employee lifecycle / administration work ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Policy and procedure review and updating - also get the opportunity to put forward suggestions for review to continually improve the HR function; such as updates on key changes to policies/ processes/ new initiatives and any trends identified in ER reporting.
  • Involvement in community, charitable and sustainability initiatives.
  • Monthly HR analytics reports and KPI production support, aswell as requests for adhoc HR data
  • Assisting the company/staff professional development- including participating in performance reviews and attending/running training as/when required
  • Working with the talent acquisition team to provide advice to managers on recruitment campaigns, development of job descriptions/person specifications, job evaluations and appropriate selection processes. Also contract creation and onboarding activities

What you'll need to succeed

An experienced HR Professional.

  • You will be minimum CIPD Level 5 Qualified - or studying towards.
  • Up-to-date Employment Law knowledge
  • HR Advisory and ER experience
  • Manufacturing, FMCG or Logistics would be desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working within an unionised environment would be beneficial.
  • HRIS experience
  • Excellent communication skills and influencing skills.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to other sites
