Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Hornchurch

Year 2 student, non-verbal, sensory, working at a low level and can be challenging at times.

Working with a good Hornchurch School looking to recruit a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team, ideally someone with a passion to support Special Needs, experienced, supportive and nurturing.

As soon as possible - Monday to Friday (Term time only)

For the Special Needs Teaching Assistant role:

  • Experience and knowledge of working with Non Verbal students and Challenging Behaviour.
  • Skills relating to strategies to support the students triggers and traits.
  • An interest, motivation and passion for working with students that have Learning Disabilities.
  • Calm, controlled and effective communication and relate well to all children and adults within the school
  • Supportive with a calm and patient nature.
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within this
  • Toileting schedule is in place for the student
  • Qualified with a relevant L2/L3 Teaching Assistant, SEND or Care qualification
  • DBS registered on the Update Register
