Strong Special Needs Teaching Assistant required to work with a KS1 student that has Learning Difficulties and High Sensory Needs in a Hornchurch School.
For the role as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant you will need to have good communication skills, be adaptable, not fazed by behaviour and able to work as part of a team supporting the student with their learning needs.
Are you a strong, resilient Teaching Assistant, Psychology graduate or from a Care background with a passion to make a real difference to a child with Special Educational Needs?
To start as soon as possible
Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 3.15pm with a break (term time only)
Special Needs Teaching Assistant Role & Qualification:
- To work alongside the class teacher and team to ensure the student’s learning and maximise their potential.
- To provide support to a student with Learning Difficulties and High Sensory Needs.
- Experience / knowledge of working with Special Educational Needs.
- Ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding the Teaching Assistant role and responsibilities.
- To be patient and able to build a trusting relationship with the student supporting their daily needs and challenges.
- Happy to assist with personal care if needed.
Qualified with a relevant L2/L3 Teaching Assistant, Care, SEND or Psychology qualification.
